Young people need work experience to help them onto the career ladder
A recent announcement from the Department of Work and Pensions supports what we at JTJ strive to deliver every week through our traineeships; work experience is an ideal way for our young unemployed people to get into work. Our Customer Service Traineeship learner, Ruby Thanjal, proves how work experience leads directly to permament work. The traineeship model is 4 weeks classroom based with a 6 week work experience placement:
"I did the customer service traineeship last June. This was such a brilliant opportunity for me. I learnt and achieved so much and my tutor was fantastic and very supportive.
"I made life long friends from this course and I gained maths and english qualifications. Through this course I gained a job in GAP which I love. I have a permanent contract and I have been working there for 7 months now.
"This course gave me life skills, qualifications and a job! A BIG thank you to everyone at JTJ. If it wasn't for JTJ I wouldn't be where I am today."
